Océanic brand tube radio, Pilote model from 1958 in plastic case.

Originally this station offered the following wavebands; LW (long wave), MW (short wave), WW (short wave) and WL (spread band).

More and more stations are stopping broadcasting in amplitude modulation with for example the total cessation of French broadcasts on long waves. This model does not offer FM, it became more and more silent. It can now operate in Bluetooth and behave like a connected speaker by pairing with your smartphone (for example) and broadcast with the "radioplayer" application to download for free and receive in digital quality all national and regional FM stations. It can also broadcast Deezer, Spotify, youtube etc ... with remarkable sound quality.

Note that it works well with its own guts, it has not been emptied of its electronics as some do in order to put a modern audio system in its case. Simply a bluetooth kit has been incorporated and adapted to its electronics. It continues to receive small waves and short waves, the long wave band has been replaced by the "bluetooth" function and its PU input is still available in order to possibly connect a mono type pick-up.

It is equipped with the following tubes: EZ80, EL84, Ef80, EBF80, ECH81 and EM34

For its renovation, its body had become tobacco green and really not pretty!!! It received a "soft blue" paint color giving it a very pretty look. Its amplifier and its radio reception part have been revised. It has its back cardboard
