Portable transistor radio dating from 1959.
This is the Riviera model from Visseaux, featuring the LW (long wave), MW (medium wave), and SW (short wave) wavebands. Waveband selection is via the keypad.
FM reception gradually becomes silent as stations are progressively shut down. On long wave, all French stations have ceased broadcasting, while on medium wave, a few foreign stations are still transmitting. To breathe new life into these devices, I've installed Bluetooth on this vintage radio, allowing it to receive all national FM stations with excellent quality via the "RADIO PLAYERY" app, which can be downloaded for free to your phone. It can also connect to Deezer, Spotify, YouTube, etc.
It still works on both long and short waves and receives what those wavebands still allow. Shortwave also still works, but an antenna must be connected via the jack on the right side of the device.
To activate the Bluetooth function, the GO/auto button was requisitioned for its operation.
Wooden box in tweed and empire green presentation in good condition, a few small "wrinkles" on the front but nothing serious!!!
It operates with 2 type 3R12 batteries (not included), available on the website.
A radio with an exceptional, truly vintage look!
