“Vintage” table radio dating from the 70s and manufactured by Optalix, a company based in Amiens.
This model, called "Studio", was originally a battery-powered device, but its previous owner had forgotten to remove the old batteries, which destroyed the battery compartment. It was therefore equipped to operate only on 220/240V mains power.
Initially this radio only received long and short waves, with the gradual shutdown of AM stations this radio became more and more silent.
Switching to the long wave range which no longer broadcasts anything except the BBC, it now works in Bluetooth mode and via your smartphone or computer it can broadcast Deezer, Spotify, YouTube or FM radio stations from all over France via radioplayer, it is also possible to connect a USB key, an auxiliary input and it also receives FM with excellent musical quality.
This radio continues to operate with its own internals such as its own amplifier and reception of small waves. It has not been emptied of its own electronics in order to put a whole new technology in its box, it is really adapted Vintage with the addition of new technology!
All this works with a remote control supplied with the device, battery for the remote control also supplied.
It is presented in cream plastic with a chrome metal carrying handle showing some small traces of aging...
