This record player is one of the big brothers of the modelOscar released in 1959 by Teppaz, this one dates from 1963. The “Oscar” series at this time included 3 record players: Oscar, Oscar Senior and Oscar Stereo.
It is equipped with a 2x3 watt tube amplifier (2 x ECL82) which has just been completely overhauled. It delivers excellent musical quality. Its tone control allows you to effectively adjust the desired timbre.
It works on 220v mains.
It is equipped with 2 covers which themselves contain the high impedance speakers with a diameter of 160mm.
It is equipped with the real Stereo cell completely remade and gives an excellent reproduction of the music, this cell allows to play recent records as well as maxi 45 rpm without skipping grooves.
It is capable of playing all diameters of records in 16/33/45 rpm and 78 rpm but it should be noted that 78 rpm records cannot be played with this stereo cartridge because the sapphire is not suitable for playing this type of recording. At the time, it was necessary to put the adapter equipped with the mono cartridge equipped with the 78 rpm sapphire to be able to play this type of records. The drive roller is in perfect condition.
Aesthetically, it is in beautiful condition. Its original turntable mat is in very good condition as is the flocking of its ventilation grille, it has its turntable clip, the speaker supports serving as original cable winders are in good condition. The blue and mottled suitcase is in superb condition, its brass-style fittings are still very attractive, two of them are slightly pitted but not serious!
It has been fully restored in addition to its electronic and mechanical overhaul.
