Teppaz 448 Vintage Tube Stereo Record Player

Superb high-end tube stereo record player from Teppaz, The "448" is a fairly rare device because at the time of its production it was very expensive in 1959 when it arrived in the range of record players offered by Teppaz

Its tube amplifier (it has 6 of the ECL82 and EF86 type) develops a power of 2x 6 watts with a remarkable sound quality, 6 speakers in its covers acting as baffles that can be oriented on the feet that it has. 2 wideband speakers of 210mm and a piezo tweeter per cover. This device has 2 sockets for additional speakers.

At the level of its controls: potentiometers for volume adjustment and also serving as an on/off switch, potentiometers for bass adjustment, potentiometers for treble adjustment and potentiometers for balance. 2 correctors by switches, one for the "medium/treble" frequencies and one for "ambience/brilliance".

4-speed turntable 16/33/45 and 78 rpm.

It has just been completely overhauled and all components (resistors and capacitors) have been replaced in order to give it the best musical quality and also the best possible reliability. The tubes have been tested. Its stereo cell Teppaz which is extremely difficult to find in good working order has been modified and a new model of ceramic stereo cell has been installed in its original shell without changing anything in its original presentation. This new cell allows it to read all records, even current pressing records, maxi 45 rpm records and it is equipped with a reversible sapphire allowing it to also read 78 rpm records.

Presentation-wise, its parma-colored suitcase is in very good condition and its brass-style closures and fittings are in good condition, with some marks on the fittings. Its 2 speaker stands that act as cable reels are new and of current manufacture. They are new and of current manufacture.
