» Oscar " was a record player that was the pride of the famous Lyonnaise firm Teppaz and it was created especially for young people!
It is equipped with a UCL82 tube amplifier that delivers a power of 3 watts of very good musical quality thanks to a special high impedance speaker enclosed in the cover of this record player. It is equipped with a reversible cell supporting 2 sapphires, one for reading 33 and 45 rpm records and the other for 78 rpm records; this cell has been restored and works as well as a new one. It works on the 220v mains
It has just been completely overhauled electronically, electrically and mechanically by me and everything that could harm its proper functioning has been replaced. Its automatic stop at the end of the disc has been precisely adjusted.
The drive roller is new original Teppaz , its ventilation grille has new flocking as originally, the platter mat is in good condition and it has its platter clip as well as the tablet Teppaz on the tonearm.
The suitcase with its "grey mottled" style covering has stood the test of time, the closures and other fittings are still very shiny. (see photos) It is in very good condition, small scratches visible in the photos below the suitcase are to be noted but really benign.
This “Oscar” in this version is unusual!

Also perfect for listening to your 78 rpm records which will be less worn than on a phonograph and will produce better sound quality!
Following its revision, it is able to read recently pressed vinyl records or maxi 45 rpm records without skipping grooves and this in more than 90% of cases.
It will come with a color copy of its instructions and a 45 rpm centering device.
