Teppaz Oscar tube record player from 1960

» Oscar " was a record player that was the pride of the famous Lyonnaise firm Teppaz and it was created especially for young people!
It is equipped with a UCL82 and UY85 tube amplifier which delivers a power of 3 watts of very good musical quality thanks to a 160mm speaker enclosed in the lid of this record player. It is equipped with a reversible cell supporting 2 sapphires, one for playing 33 and 45 rpm records and the other for 78 rpm records, this cell has been restored and works as well as a new one. It works on the 220v mains. It was manufactured in 1960.

It has just been completely overhauled electronically, electrically, and mechanically by us, and everything that could affect its proper functioning has been replaced. Its automatic stop at the end of the disc has been precisely adjusted.

The drive roller is new and original. Teppaz , its flocked ventilation grille is in good condition, the carpet is original in good condition and it has its tray clip as well as the pad Teppaz on the tonearm.

The gray, foal-skin-style suitcase has stood the test of time; the fasteners and other hardware are still very shiny. (See photos.) It is in very good condition.

In short, a beautiful record player not to be missed, which will be able to make you listen to your vinyl records of Johnny, Claude François, Sheila, Sylvie Vartan, Les Surfs, Les Beatles, Les Rolling Stones etc. again… And above all, much better and more efficient than these record players from Asia sold nowadays!

Also perfect for listening to your 78 rpm records which will be less worn than on a phonograph and will produce better sound quality!

Following its revision, it is capable of playing recently pressed vinyl records or 45 rpm maxis without skipping grooves.

It will come with a color copy of its instructions and a 45 rpm centering device.
